With a burning passion to share her music with the world and make a difference to the lives of others, Danielle Soccio has released a brand new single titled "freedom to live (liberi di vivere)".

"When I first heard the new song, I thought this could be a great anthem for the children of the world, so i decided to donate proceeds from the sale of the CD to World Vision Australia."

"I hope together we can make a difference."

Today, Danielle Soccio is one of Australia’s most sought-after young performers, the culmination of an almost lifetime dedication.

When Danielle Soccio was just eight years of age and first staged concerts to entertain her parents and neighbours, she knew instinctively that music was her future.

“I always wanted to sing,” says the vivacious performer. “I’d lock myself in my room as a young girl, listening, watching and learning from the greats.

“There was always music at home. My Dad used to sing around the house all the time. I used to tell my parents I was going to be a great singer one day and that has always remained my goal.”

Danielle was quick to make her public mark as a singer and actress, with leading roles in the Australian adaptation of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, and musicals Godspell, Oklahoma and Bye Bye Birdie, where the critics were quick to see an extraordinary potential, comparing her to many of the world’s legendary female singers.

In more recent times, Danielle produced her own one-woman cabaret shows, A Tribute To Barbra Streisand and A Tribute To Broadway, both of which received rave reviews.

“Great singers like Streisand have helped me understand what exceptional singing is,” says Danielle. “She is a great interpreter and she sings from the heart.

“With every song I sing, I want to take people on a journey, to another place in time. I want to move people emotionally and touch their hearts with my voice. If my singing brings a tear to the eye or a smile to the face, then I have touched my audience.”

So widespread is Danielle’s reputation for excellence, that she was invited to perform at Beijing’s International Cultural Festival in China, where she performed in concert and on live television, before a viewing audience of 800 million people. Since then, Danielle has performed in concert on CCTV China to an international audience of 1.9 billion people.

In Australia, she is also in great demand for both live and television appearances. She has performed on Carols By Candlelight, Good Morning Australia, Mornings with Kerri-Anne, The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Gala Concerts and for major corporate and charity events.

On her debut album Hope, Danielle delivers her songs with a conviction and style that is uniquely her own.

Danielle’s love of musicals and timeless standards is reflected in her choice of songs for Hope and it is her wish that the messages of hope and love will inspire us all.

Danielle has also included some of her favourite classic Italian songs on her CD.

“My Italian roots and the opportunity to perform in different parts of the world, have taught me a lot,” Danielle says. “I’ve learned that music is a powerful way of connecting with people. It’s for this reason that I have made the Hope album, as the purest expression of who I am. I hope everyone will enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.”

Danielle Soccio has always had critics raving. Recently, reviewers have singled her out.
