It’s not often that history is rewritten. Greg Evans has done it twice in 2 mediums, television and radio.

The highly popular television personality is best know as host of Perfect Match, the show the re-wrote the television history books, achieving an unbeatable rating of 39 in 5:30pm timeslot.

The hilarious TV dating show ran from 1984 to 1989, took a break in 1990 then returned in 1991 as Blind Date again with Evans at the helm. Greg hosted 1,400 episodes of the show earning himself nominations for TV Weeks Gold Logie as Australia’s Most Popular Celebrity on 3 occasions and making him a household name. Greg has hosted 11 of his own television shows, including Star Search and Say G’day and appeared in countless others.

His career began in radio where he also scored in the ratings stakes, for his radio success. Greg was awarded the TV Week Rock Awards “Most Popular DJ Award” for 6 consecutive years from 1978 to 1983. During this time he hosted the drive time show on 3XY and interviewed just about every rock band and celebrity performer who toured Australia during those years.

Over the year Greg has been highly visible in his work for charity. He is a former President of the Variety Club of Australia (Victorian region) and is a Life Ambassador for Australia Day. Greg currently is heard on 3MP and is the advertising spearhead of many corporate sponsors including Cartridge World, Coffey Ford and Nature Bee.
