Santos Chinguel - Panpipes

Santos was born in Peru and has been playing traditional Andean folkloric music since he was 8 years old. His first audiences were his family, friends and school teachers. Happily continuing his musical career touring South America with various folklore groups and performing solo, he arrived in Australia in August 2002. Since his arrival Santos has been performing solo and with various bands. His ability to sing and play a large range of traditional instruments coupled with the colour and texture of Andean costume makes for a delightful experience.

Santos has just released his debut album here in Australia, titled Inti Raymi. This album is an excellent representation of the endless styles and rhythms of South America and a testimony to his multi musical skills.
