Soul/jazz trio the Dukes of Debonaire have been delighting audiences with their cool and sophisticated music since 2002. They have a passion for jazz music from the 1920’s to the 1960’s. They play and sing some of the great jazz standards by Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Their music includes swing, rhythm and blues, romantic ballads, soul-jazz and bossa-nova.
Resplendent in finely cut suits and expensive ties, the Dukes lend a visual elegance and charm to their surrounds. As a trio they comprise of piano, double bass and drums. They regularly recruit other players on saxophone, guitar and harmonica to create a bigger sound. With an impressive list of clients and local residencies, the Dukes have the experience to create the perfect mood for any occasion. Along with their fine musicianship, an urbane wit and mellow sophistication percolates through every show.The Dukes of Debonaire truly live up to their name.
