Tony Rafferty is a former body builder who came to Australia in 1960 and worked at the Golden Bowl Fitness Centre in Camberwell.Tony suggested to the owner that as a promotion for the Centre he would run from Sydney to Melbourne, the rest is history!
On the 12/08/00 Vinny Lauwers returned to Melbourne after 7 months & 2 weeks at sea. It had taken 7 years of preparation for Vinny to realise his incredible dream "To be the first disabled person to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world".
