Andrew Darbyshire

Andrew Darbyshire is a successful Melbourne-born businessman, speaker and philanthropist, with an incredibly inspiring story to share. He founded his software business, PacSoft, in the mid-80’s and now has staff and offices in Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

Andrew’s success certainly didn’t come easily, and now through his speaking, he shares with people all over Australia "The Secret to an Extraordinary Life".

Andrew left school at 15, and against all odds, went on to become a qualified pilot and self-made multi-millionaire. He now spends no more than one hour a week on his business, choosing to use his time to inspire audiences with clear and simple strategies for success. If you want to be rich, successful and happy, then Andrew’s presentation is guaranteed to motivate you and your team towards achieving excellence.

Andrew’s idea of creating a community corps to allow students to reduce their HECS debt through volunteer work, was labeled as one of the top ten ideas to come out of the 2020 Summit by Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd.

See why Andrew has been nominated, as Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 - his ability to hold his audience spellbound is awe-inspiring and life changing.

If you’ve ever wanted your business to work for you, rather than you for it... then half an hour with Andrew will give you the key. Andrew’s own life experience has highlighted the importance of effective risk-management in business. Whether you are an individual, employer, or SME operator, by applying Andrew’s techniques you can future-proof your organisation and enjoy the immediate benefits of this fresh and innovative approach.

"Many thanks again for being with us and sharing so much of your passion for service and CSR, not to mention your considerable capacity for joke-telling! You are something else, and now I can’t imagine our international affiliate gathering without you."
Hands on Network

"Your very personal contribution was highly valued, and I, for one, was quite moved by what you had to say.
Your description of the potential for change in the attitudes of staff too, was welcome and pointed out exactly the type of synergy that we are hoping to achieve."

Ballarat Cares

"Thank you for your presentation at last week's workshop. As I am sure you will be aware, our participants were totally engaged, both with the feeling you brought to it, and with the activities you described."
Dr Michael Liffman - Director
Asia-Pacific Centre for Philanthropy and Social Investment - Swinburne University

"I heard your excellent talk about success and focus in adversity and how you make your business work for you
and your family. You have been able to successfully structure much of your time as well as financial resources into areas of health development and support issues. I was extremely touched by your story of strength."

Sharon Paul

"Thank you for you involvement in the success of the recent conference. Your presentation to the conference definitely furthered the objective by analysing the strategic and practical realities of sustainability with your organisation. There has been very positive feedback from the student and faculty body."
Melbourne Business School

"On behalf of Linfox, I would like to thank you for speaking at our Senior Leadership Conference in May. While at times very emotional, your story highlighted the need for persistence and courage which is a timely message for our people in senior leadership roles. Without these qualities the path to achieving our goals can become long and treacherous."
David Arkell - President Human Resources Linfox

"There was not a dry eye at the table as Andrew told his story. If his presentation exemplifies how he has built his business, it is no wonder that he is a huge success. How many other millionaires would share such a story of personal growth with strangers? One thing I found quite amazing was how his message made me want to change my life, not too many people can do that in 30 mins with absolutely no Ra Ra. Thank you Andrew, you are truly inspirational."
Peter O'Connor

"Andrew Darbyshire was inspirational without being untouchable and made something so sad so uplifting. A reality check for sure. Purpose is a very special word."
Jodi-Anne Hasler

"The VIP dinner at the Australian Club was an amazing experience! Andrew's story was both heartbreaking and inspiring and definitely had an impact on the vision that I see for both myself and my business and its ability to both interact and contribute to the community. I look forward to the next VIP dinner as I believe they will be an asset to MCEI and its Members".
Belinda Pritchard

"I am really glad we attended Tuesday night's VIP event. The address by Andrew was so touching - hauntingly poignant, yet strangely motivating. I haven't been able to stop thinking about his level of commitment to Caitlin's legacies. We were privileged to be there. The ambiance of The Australian Club surrounds set a great scene for Andrew to demonstrate how inspired business leaders can drive changes that benefit communities; and within an organisation, how community involvement can motivate a team. Andrew has a great ability to convey his personal experiences and describe how he has harnessed this effectively. Andrew is certainly an inspiration!"
