Yidaki Didg & Dance - Indigenous

Dressed in traditional tribal costume and paint this presentation of Aboriginal culture highlights an insight into Aboriginal Dreamtime.

See the dawning of time and the native animals of Australia depicted in dance. Featuring the haunting sounds of the didgeridoo together with a historical overview of the instrument and a demonstration of its versatility.

Dances include:
Clearing of the Ground; Welcome; Birds & Animals; Pippi Dance; Emu; Goanna; Mimi Spirit and Show Off

The length of performance can be tailored to suit your requirements, however in general it usually based at approximately 20 minutes.

DIDG & DANCE is a Traditional Aboriginal Performance Group which promote Indigenous Culture throughout Australia and the World.
The word “Yidaki” means Spirit of the Didgeridoo and traditionally comes from the Yirrikala people of the Northern Territory.

The Yidaki (didgeridoo) is now the universal musical instrument for Aboriginal people.

Formed in 1992 YIDAKI DIDG & DANCE has developed cultural programs involving Music and Dance designed to give a better understanding of the Traditional Indigenous Culture.
