Boogs was born in Melbourne Australia and grew up on an appetite of hip-hop and electro; buying records from the age of ten years old.
Melbourne street press labelled Boogs the “Local Blow Up of 2002” and the The Age Newspaper has profiled Boogs as the hippest & hottest DJ in Melbourne. He was polled as #22 in the Technics inthemix50 - The Australian Top 50 DJ Poll 2004 & powered his way up to #12 in 2005. 2005 also saw the launch of Boogs’ first mix cd release ITM50, a double disc set with Illya from Sydney recording the other. In 2006, even despite his legendary lack of self-promotion, Boogs held onto the #12 spot of Australia's most popular DJs once again.
He is building on his national profile with regular gigs in Sydney and some spectacular nights in Brisbane, Gold Coast & Noosa have seen requests coming in for a fast return. Boogs is most impressive in a 3 deck set allowing him to mix it right up in his own ground breaking style that guarantees you will shake what ya mama gave ya.
In 2007 Boogs is set to release another CD, this time through Vinyl Pusher. It's set for widespread release with plenty of radio and TV exposure so keep your ear to the ground for Boogs who is set to explode in 07!

Boogs currently holds residencies at some of Australia's hottest clubs - Melbourne: Revolver, Lounge, Circus, Club Evolution, and rotating at Escobar; Sydney: Chinese Laundry, Moulin Rouge; Gold Coast: Elsewhere; and way to many guest spots to list individually all over Australia. |
