Banana Republic - The Blues Brothers Show

Pre dinner and during Dinner as THE COOLNOTES
Sharp, sophisticated and cool. Using members from the Blues Brothers, this act fits like a glove into the dinner mode segment of the night. Six-piece instrumental playing smooth jazz with a repertoire of well-known standards. They are there to create the ambience, the atmosphere so patrons can meet, greet and chat without the entertainment taking centre stage – that comes later!

Then wow your guests with THE BLUES BROTHERS Floorshow
This fully choreographed show is a living testimony to the original Blues Brothers band. Right from the opening bars of " Shake your tail feather " the dance floor will be jumping. Mike " Jake " Foenander and Steve " Elwood " Foenander wearing the uniforms of pork pie hats, sunglasses, and black suits take charge of the pacey show combining humour, visuals, dance routines, lighting effects and spectacular sound. The powerful female back up vocals, two-piece brass section and four-member rhythm section, faithfully reproduce the authentic sound of the era.

After dinner as BANANA REPUBLIC
From the openings bars of “Copacabana”, the invited guests (Adelaide’s “who’s who” list) to the “Boy from Oz” première night party knew they were in for a treat. The Hyatt Regency Ballroom was alive with a Rio Carnival atmosphere created by this unique ten-piece act. The Latin rhythm’s of mambo, rumba, calypso and salsa packed the dance floor all night long with select songs such as “Mambo No 5”, “Late in the Evening”, “La Vida Loca”, “Quando, Quando”, “Hot Hot Hot” and “Conga”. When the party was over the management of the Hyatt invited them to perform for their New Years Eve 2000 celebrations.

Then end the night with THE LAST DAYS OF DISCO
Now it's time to get up and boogie to disco classics from the seventies. Are you ready to do the Bus stop ? Let your hair down and do the dance steps (we’ll show you how) to the classic hits from the glitter era of disco. One song after another will take you on a trip down memory lane to the unforgettable decade of gold suits, sequins, chunky jewelery and platform shoes. “Blame it on the Boogie”, “Bus Stop”, “Carwash”, ”Celebration”, “Disco Inferno” and many more.
