So you need to plan an event….obviously you’ll need a venue and some food and drink.  But it’s what you do to make your event unique that will guarantee it stands out from the pack, and leaves your guests with that ‘WOW, wasn’t that a fantastic event’ feeling!

Entertainment is the key!

In the long run people are going to remember not what they ate or drank, but if they were moved and grooved.  Little things can make a difference:

• An ice-breaking roving performer or musicians to welcome guests can really help set the mood you are after eg. Magician, caricaturist, wacky waiter, Patsy, fire jugglers and drummers, harpist, ambient jazz or classical strings.
• Why not follow with magicians and other characters entertaining each table as they are seated at a dinner?
• Break up the formalities of the evening (eg. Speeches, awards, audiovisual presentation) with a fabulous feature act eg. Sensational customised cabaret show such as Pot-Pourri, illusion show, corporate hoaxer, tap dance routine, aerial/circus act, chainsaw juggler ….or perhaps you’d like a comic MC to impersonate a range of famous characters and provide interludes during your evening…the possibilities are endless.
• And if your guests have their partners in attendance, why not organize a fabulous dance band to make sure everyone gets up and shakes their booty?! Band styles may include Top 40 and dance covers, rock n’roll, Latin, Caribbean, salsa, big band swing and lots more… 

• If it’s a dinner, a fun centerpiece designed to meet the objectives of the event can really set a mood and some special lighting will create a magical or party ambience.

• And there are many themes that will help set your event apart including Roaring 20s, Hollywood, Murder Mystery, Psychedelic 70s, Masquerade, Cabaret, Circus, African Safari, Mardi Gras…and more! You can even ask your guests to wear a TOUCH of whatever suits your theme.  Or present your guests with something gorgeous to wear upon arrival e.g. Masks, bandanas, roses, sunglasses, hats, feather boas etc.  Your event pictures will be a big hit!
