Spacey Space started playing records professionally in 1993 at a weekly gig called ‘Bud Dub Loves Loops’ at Lounge in Melbourne’s CBD.

Always sourcing fresh material, Spacey specialises in dropping loads of tough Electro, selected Mash-ups and R’N’B bootlegs, bits of Good House and a smattering of classics from the vaults.

Amid all this action, Spacey still finds time to work in his studio producing his own edits for his DJ sets, as well as working on original material. Several tracks have been released on independent labels in addition to remix work for local legends Agent 86 and T-Rek.

Recently Spacey began producing audio content for various media, including Playbox Theatre and for the demo version of the PS2/XBOX title ‘Heros Of The Pacific’. Local video artist Emile Zile engaged Spacey to compose and record the score and sound design for his short film ‘Young Adult Thinks’ which screened at ACMI, Federation Square. He also produced the track ‘Rubber Rex’ featured in Daniel Peters short 7 Minute which debuted at Tropfest 2005.)

Current residencies include:

Revolver, Escobar, Honkytonks, Cushion Lounge, Seven, Alumbra, Wayside, and F Four as well as guest slots everywhere.

He is one of Australia’s biggest DJs, having played all of Melbourne’s (and Australia’s) biggest festivals including but not limited to the Big Day Out, Summadayze, Parklife, St.Kilda Festival, Earthcore and much, much more.
