Kieren is a dedicated musician committed to professionalism and artistic integrity in performance, composition and teaching. Since 1990, Kieren has performed professionally as a soloist and in numerous ensembles playing Flamenco, Classical and Jazz guitar at cafes, art galleries, theatres, festivals and state government concert halls. From 1994, he has collaborated with renowned Flamenco dancer, Nella Randone composing and performing all the music for her most recent choreographies. He was musical director and guitarist in the government funded Flamenco dance theatres, Suspiros de la Luna in 1995, and La Rosa in 1996 both of which received wide public and critical acclaim.

He has performed extensively throughout Australia at major festivals and venues including: Woodford Folk Festival, Melbourne and Brisbane Concert Halls, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Frankston Guitar Festival, Melbourne Festival, Tasmania’s Cygnet Festival, Adelaide’s Playhouse Theatre and Perth’s Dance Works Flamenco Dance Company. Since 1994, Kieren has collaborated with renowned dancer Nella Randone, inspiring a substantial collection of Flamenco Dance Theatre productions featuring original choreographies and compositions. Musical excerpts from their most recent production - Tryptich – have been featured in the film Memory Tree - The Controversial Art of David Boyd, which was screened on ABC television in 2004. Kieren currently works with Melbourne group Sonikete, as well as his own group ContraBanda which performs original works and contemporary masterpieces. Kieren joined the cast of Flamenco Fire in 2002.
