The jive bombers have been entertaining Sydney since 1985 and have built a reputation as Sydney’s number one retro dance band. With a repertoire covering fifty years of popular music, this band is not just a covers band. In 2001, the Jive bombers were the first band in Australia to pick up an Apra award for Original jazz composition (most performed jazz work), six weeks later they also picked up two rock ‘n’roll awards.

Musicians touring with major international acts have sought the band out. Some memorable moments have been with the horn players from Paul Simon’s Graceland tour and Lou “Blue Lou” Marini from the blues brothers sat in for two hours at the marble bar. They have also backed a wide variety of Australian Artists including Doug Parkinson and Ignatius Jones,
